Build Calculator in OpenGL

I am computer science students and currently doing my C++ project. I want to build a calculator using openGL.. And i dont have idea to start by using openGL. I can show the shape in opengl but i dont know how to show the number when user clicking on it. Anyone can hlp me?? Million Thx...
