please search for servlet-api.jar file, then import it into your
tomcat library,refresh the project,compile,run the project,it wil
work now.

the javax.servlet will be available in
servlets-api.jar...

it will be present in
tomcat5.5/common/lib/servlet-api.jar for tomcat 5.5

give classpath to it and complie ur code...
