Text message board RPG

When requesting for ideas online for a program that could automaticaly generate it's own RPG story lines etc... someone suggested JAVA in particular JRPG101.

The more I read the less I learn and the less I want read :blush:

Can someone please help me get started in the right direction.

I like the idea but have no programing experience other than some slight beginner exploration html web page creation. I have Netbeans IDE 7.1.2 etc. Happy to download anything requirements.
