Submit to Digg and Delicious for more traffic, however Searchles and many of the other 2nd tier social networks save everything and get it all indexed in Google and Yahoo! so there is much more value to improve SEO rankings from the 2nd tier social networks.

any dofollow bookmarking site will be beneficial in terms of seo and link building

Not all those are good for SEO. You need to be sure
-Socialbookmakring site is linking to your site directly not through their url
-They should be dofollow - not "nofollow" links
-Do not use social bookmarking site with no value like link farms..

Here is one I can suggest http://wirefan.com the main page is nofollow but the user pages are not.
